Ebenezer "served in the American Revolution, as a private, he applied for his pension in 1835. However, he may have served briefly wit British forces, before he enlisted with the Americans. Ebenezer stated under oath tht he did enlist in the N.C. Militia, and later was a wagonmaster in S.C. and received a written discharge, which was lost. He was granted a pension, then later was asked for more information, regarding his services, which were never submitted." (Tucker, see sources.) |

Hearne of Eldorado, North Carolina shows the Ebenezer, who married Dovey Walker, as being the son of Thomas and Nancy (Wilson) Hearne. From other information in this book it shows the Ebenezer, who married Dovey Walker, as being the son of Purnell Hearne, Sr. Which is correct??/TCPB
