    • Email from Cindy , resident of Indiana, on 4 October 2008:
"  Thank you so much for sending these wonderful pictures.  The owner of the
house certainly has made it look beautiful.  I was surprised to see the clock
on the mantle in the lovely living room.  It is remarkably like the clock my
grandmother Alice Clawson Franklin had.  I used to help wind it with a key
every few days when I was a girl.  She said that it belonged to her
grandfather, but never specified which one, Alfred Clawson or William Terrell.
I also appreciate the list of Clawsons that you have and the photos of the
headstones of Caroline Clawson Bulla and Daniel Bulla.  Yes, someday I would
like to tour the house and cemetary, and when I do, I'll ask you how to get in
touch with the owner.  You know, you live in a state all your life and still
never see parts of it.  I live right here in Indiana and was raised here but
have not been to many places in my own state, Richmond being one of them.
Alfred H. Clawson moved to Liberty, Hendricks, Indiana, (1900) after living
in Wayne, Wayne, Indiana,(1850-1870), and Washington, Randolph, Indiana,
(1880).  He was married to Emily Oblinger in 1869.  I have a census record of
Abner and Elizabeth and children: Tabitha I., William C., and Alfred H.. That
record was in 1850, so Caroline must have been married to Daniel at that time.
Alfred had three chilldren: Charles P. Clawson, my ggrandfather, Eugene
Clawson, and Josephine Clawson Thompson.  Charles P. Clawson, Nancy Terrell
Clawson, Alice C. Clawson Franklin, Maurice Wayne Clawson, and Mary Josephine
Clawson Vaughn are all buried in Franklin, Hendricks, Indiana.  I am trying to
find where Eugene Clawson and Josephine Clawson Thompson are buried. If I can
be of any help to you, let me know.
